Not just communists though, some parents, church pastors, other governments like to brainwash youngsters too.

perhaps they just fear of persecution from the governement.

or perhaps the taiwan news selectively shown those 2 interviews, and neglect the other interviews that they did.

I wouldn't put too much weight on that short clips.  But nonetheless, it is disappointing to hear those words from that pair.
